The history

ELYSEE revives classic watchmaking technology in the finest watch design. Getting better and better is the company philosophy that the entire ELYSEE team lives by:

ELYSEE goes its own way and convinces with an attractive design that elegantly incorporates fascinating technical specifications and always with a good price-performance ratio.


The Swiss watchmaker Jacques Beaufort founds his own watch manufacture under the name ELYSEE in a small town near Le Bémont (Swiss Jura).


The first ELYSEE watches are created. They were high-quality ladies' watches made of solid gold set with precious stones.


The ELYSEE brand is re-registered by the Harer company in the gold town of Pforzheim. The brand gets a new focus and continues to manufacture mechanical watches with gold cases. The Harer company is one of the leading jewelery manufacturers in Germany.


The ELYSEE brand is sold to the Düsseldorf businessman Reiner Seume.


The new alignment of the ELYSEE brand begins. The brand logo is changed, the product family is enlarged. The focus is initially only on the German market.


First business relationships are established in the surrounding countries and throughout Europe.


ELYSEE is heavily involved in historic motorsport. The first private label watches are developed.


Graf Berghe von Trips becomes brand ambassador for ELYSEE. One of the world's most successful post-war racing drivers is a perfect fit for the brand. The first timepiece in this new edition was created in the same year.


As a living legend of Formula 1, racing driver Jochen Mass is won as a brand ambassador. In close cooperation with Jochen Mass, unmistakable timepieces are created in the same year.


ELYSEE is passed on to the next generation. Reiner Seume introduces his son Julian to the company after studying internationally.


The ELYSEE brand is now represented in 30 countries worldwide.


ELYSEE focuses on expanding its own collection, which focuses on high-quality materials implemented in striking, sporty designs. A brand that has its finger on the pulse and focuses on its own continuous development.
